On 11/22/06, the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy (MCEA) filed a petition with the Environmental Quality Board to study the potential environmental empacts of three chemicals - atrazine, acetochlor and chlorpyrifos - before certifying them for unrestricted use in 2007. Atrazine is an endocrine disrupter, acetochlor may cause cancer and chlorpyrifos is toxic to the nervous system. |
